This is not a loan
Pre-settlement funding, including what this site calls a lawsuit loan, is not a loan. It is a non-recourse purchase of a portion of the proceeds of your pending legal claim. Repayment comes only from the settlement or judgment in your case. If you do not recover, you owe nothing. Because of this, it is not a debt, there are no monthly payments, and it is not reported to credit bureaus.
No legal advice
We are not attorneys and we do not provide legal advice. Nothing on this site should be taken as advice about your claim, your rights, or whether to accept a settlement. Talk to your attorney about those decisions. Using this site or contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship.
No guarantee of funding or amount
Every case is reviewed on its own facts. Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee that we will offer funding, and the amount we can advance depends on the expected value of your case and how far along it is. Statements on this site about speed, such as funds within 24 hours of signing, describe how we work once a funding agreement has been signed by you and your attorney, and depend on your bank and on the information we receive.
Costs and terms
There are no application fees and nothing to pay up front. The fee for funding is set out in the funding agreement and is paid from your settlement proceeds at the end of the case. All terms, including the fee, are disclosed in writing before you sign, and the funding agreement is the only document that governs the funding. Terms and availability vary by state and by case.
Your attorney
Funding requires that you be represented by an attorney on a contingency basis. We contact your attorney only with your permission. We have no role in how your attorney handles your case and no say in when or whether you settle.
